Seeya Fashion Week Goes Global — Blue Wardrobe Takes Banarasi to New York
In a defining moment for Indian fashion, Seeya Fashion Week (SFW) marked its international debut at New York Fashion Week 2025, held on September 14 at 1604 Broadway, New York. Representing the platform was Designer Snigdha Majumder of Blue Wardrobe, whose collection brought the magic of Banarasi silk to the global runway.
The milestone came soon after SFW’s acclaimed October 2024 edition, which celebrated India’s creative diversity. Founded and curated by Seema Vashishth, Seeya Fashion Week has quickly become a catalyst for nurturing new talent and amplifying their reach across international markets.
Seema’s vision has been to make SFW a movement of mentorship and visibility — one where independent designers get the support, exposure, and credibility they deserve.
Snigdha’s showcase, “Threads of Infinity,” was a poetic fusion of art and identity. Through five Banarasi sarees and five fusion dresses, she redefined what heritage can look like in the modern world.

“Every thread in Banarasi carries a story — of generations, dreams, and devotion. My goal was to make those stories walk the global ramp,” said Snigdha.
Her New York models embodied that fusion of worlds — Indian soul, global stride. The palette glimmered in golds, indigos, and crimsons, each hue paying tribute to India’s vibrant spirit.
The collection drew applause for its craftsmanship and storytelling — reaffirming Seeya Fashion Week’s role as a bridge between India’s tradition and the world’s stage.
For Seema Vashishth, this international showcase was a proud reflection of her mission:
“Every time an SFW designer walks an international runway, it’s not just their success — it’s India’s story shining through their work.”
As the final spotlight dimmed in New York, one thing was clear — Seeya Fashion Week had not just showcased fashion; it had showcased India’s evolving identity.
