From Alumnus to Employer: Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation’s Big Contribution to Alva’s Pragati 2026
Founder Chairman’s journey from student to job-creator takes centre stage at India’s largest placement drive.

Few stories capture the spirit of giving back quite like that of Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya, Founder Chairman of Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation, who once studied at Alva’s Education Foundation and, on August 8, 2026, returned to its campus as an employer at Alva’s Pragati 2026 — India’s largest placement drive.
By the time the drive concluded that evening, Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation had extended 11 on-spot appointments and shortlisted 25 additional candidates, a performance that placed it among the notable recruiters of the event.
All eleven candidates received their tentative appointment letters directly from Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya and Ms. Sri Anagha KR, a member of the Foundation’s Advisory Council. The moment resonated deeply with the Alva’s community: faculty members and deans of the pre-university and degree colleges, along with Honourable Chairperson Dr. Mohan Alva and Managing Trustee Mr. Vivek Alva, spoke warmly of welcoming back one of their own in a new and meaningful role.
