Hiriyur Taluk, Chitradurga District – The Block Education Officer (BEO) of Hiriyur Taluk, under the Department of School Education, Karnataka, organized a one-day extensive training program, “Face Exams Confidently with Memory Power,” led by the renowned memory expert Dr. Raviprasad Sajjan. This initiative aimed to help SSLC students prepare effectively for their board exams with advanced memory techniques.

Speaking to the media, Thipeswamy C.M. (KES), BEO of Hiriyur Taluk, highlighted that 3,677 students from Hiriyur Taluk will be appearing for the SSLC Board Exam 2025. He emphasized the importance of preparing students in advance to boost their confidence and academic performance.
He also announced several new initiatives aimed at improving SSLC results:
- Special morning and evening classes for students struggling with studies.
- Development of 40 Model Question Papers to help students pass the SSLC exam.
- Teachers making home visits to ensure parental involvement in education.
- Special coaching for slow learners in all schools.
- Direct phone call support for students to overcome exam anxiety.
- Overnight study sessions in schools to provide extra guidance.
- Aiming for significant improvement in pass percentages through targeted strategies.
Future Plans: Expanding Training for Teachers
Encouraged by the success of this program, the BEO Office plans to introduce a 10-day training program in the coming year for teachers. This initiative will focus on teaching techniques to help underperforming students excel in their exams.
Boosting Hiriyur Taluk’s SSLC Performance
In 2023, Chitradurga District secured the top position in Karnataka with a 96.8% pass rate. However, in 2024, performance dropped significantly, pushing the district to 21st place. To counter this decline, education officials are implementing unique student support programs to ensure that SSLC students confidently approach their board exams like a festival.

With the SSLC Board Exam 2025 scheduled from March 21 to April 4, extensive preparations are in place to ensure outstanding academic performance from students in Hiriyur Taluk.
