The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has paved the way for integrating volunteering within academic spaces. However, while some institutions with adequate resources are taking steps to build volunteering policies, many lack structured frameworks and struggle to provide meaningful opportunities for their students. The biggest challenge remains in retaining and connecting volunteers to relevant causes based on their skills and interests. Recognizing this gap, Social Action Mobilizer was created to bridge the divide through a digitalized and customized solution—Impulse, a platform designed to enhance institutional volunteering.

1.) Project Sachet: Bridging the Knowledge Gap

Derived from the Sanskrit word “सचे त”—meaning holistic awareness and sensitivity—Project Sachet is dedicated to equipping adolescents with essential education on menstrual health, puberty, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Despite the crucial nature of these topics, many young people in India navigate adolescence without adequate information, leading to stigma and misinformation. Project Sachet works to break these barriers by including boys and men in the conversation, promoting inclusivity and awareness at the grassroots level.

2.) Impulse: Institutional Volunteering for Sustainable Impact

Impulse is a transformative digital platform that facilitates structured institutional volunteering. It enables students and educational institutions to participate in impactful projects, fostering leadership, collaboration, and community engagement. The goal is to create a network of changemakers who are not only passionate about social causes but are also equipped with the tools and opportunities to make a lasting difference.
