Together We Can Foundation NGO Leads Ambala’s Green & Healthy Movement

Ambala, June 5, 2025 – In a powerful three-day effort, Together We Can Foundation NGO made a lasting impact across Ambala through three meaningful initiatives aligned with World Environment Day, Nirjala Ekadashi, and World Food Safety Day. Each event reflected the NGO’s commitment to sustainability, public health, and community empowerment.

June 5, 2025 – Greening Ambala on World Environment Day

Location: Prem Nagar & Sector 1 Jail Land, Ambala
Leaders: Ms. Poonam Gupta & Dr. Ridhi Gupta

To celebrate World Environment Day, the NGO organized a Tree Plantation Drive, transforming parts of Ambala into greener spaces. With support from university students, interns, and local volunteers, more than 40 saplings were planted at Sector 1 Jail Land.

“The trees we plant today will offer shade, air, and life for generations to come,” said Ms. Poonam Gupta, encouraging the adoption of sustainable living habits.

This event wasn’t just about planting trees — it was about planting hope, responsibility, and environmental consciousness.

June 6, 2025 – Chabeel Seva on Nirjala Ekadashi

Location: Various public areas across Ambala

Recognizing the physical demands of summer, the NGO extended compassion by distributing free jeera water on Nirjala Ekadashi, an auspicious day of fasting and service.

Volunteers reached out to pedestrians, daily wage workers, and commuters, offering chilled bottles of jeera water known for its cooling and digestive properties.

“Sometimes a small gesture — a cold drink on a hot day — can make a big difference,” said Dr. Ridhi Gupta, highlighting the blend of tradition and wellness in this heartwarming initiative.

June 7, 2025 – Spreading Food Safety Awareness on World Food Safety Day

Venue: Jaggi City Centre, Ambala
Guests: Mr. Balvinder (Food Dept.) & Local Food Operators

In a bid to promote safe eating habits, Together We Can Foundation hosted a public awareness campaign in partnership with the Food Department.

The event included:

  • Expert talks on food hygiene
  • Interactive activities for the public
  • Distribution of educational materials for both vendors and consumers

“Food safety is a collective duty — it begins in our kitchens, spreads to the streets, and protects public health,” emphasized Ms. Poonam Gupta.

Attendees gained valuable knowledge on preventing foodborne illness, understanding hygiene practices, and making informed food choices.

Key Contributors Behind the Impact

These initiatives were made possible through the passionate involvement of:

  • Mrs. Jia Oberoi
  • Ms. Sonali Sharma
  • Ms. Saroj Sharma
  • Mr. Dharamveer Singh

Their efforts were vital in executing events that educated, empowered, and served the community.
